Where I'm Eating this Oregon Wine Month!

May is Oregon Wine Month! Celebrate by visiting these participating restaurants and asking about their Oregon With Month Special food pairings and flights.

I always need inspiration on what to order, so here is what I order at the following restaurants, paired with Oregon Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, or even some Bubbles. ;)

Golden Valley - Start a wine tasting and charcuterie board on Third Street in Mac, and then buy a bottle to bring to dinner - enjoy a Steak Flank Salad for dinner.

503 Uncorked - Happy Hour pairs well with the 503 Uncorked cheese and Charcuterie board. Obviously order the Oregon Wine Month tasting flight - 503 knows what’s going on & they won’t steer you in the wrong direction! (Bonus Points for hitting Komo Sushi for real dinner and Handles for a post dinner treat!)

Dundee Bistro - Date night! Take your better half to the Dundee Bistro & go for a split meal. Share the Burrata to start, the grilled Mahi Mahi for your main, and to finish the meal, enjoy the Creme Brulee. Ask about the wine a food pairing, but if that doesn’t float your boat, check their extensive wine list!

Five Spice - Always an after-work go to! Oysters and a glass of bubbles to start & then the paired wine and charcuterie tasting is the move at Five Spice! Finish with a walk in downtown Lake O and snag a pint of Salt & Straw ice cream for the weekend.

Tavern on Kruse - Don’t skimp on a weekend away from the kiddos! Tavern on Kruse has an Oregon Wine Month featured 4-course dinner menu paired with some very special wines.

Trellis - My mouth is watering thinking about how well Trellis serves their mussels with focaccia. Pop a fun bottle of Chardonnay to balance out the meal. Don’t forget to ask about their specials… OH! and if you don’t take a slice of Caydee’s amazing cake home, you will regret it! (@ValleyFlour for visuals).

Pizza Capo - My one true love… Pizza Capo GF Spicy Salami Pizza… haha kidding! (kinda). Anywaysss, always ordering this and devouring their side specials. Ben makes a mean dirty martini, but they are featuring special pricing on OR wine this month, so make sure you see their wine list before deciding!

Urban Farmer - If you haven’t yet been to Urban Farmer, make your next day in Portland end at this fabulous establishment. Located in the Nines Hotel (similar to departure), Urban Farmer serves up a legendary steak tasting. Pair with their weekly wine flight & don’t forget to enjoy some oysters on the half shell while you’re visiting!
